Religion, Belief and Employment
The County Council is committed to building a workforce which broadly reflects the diversity of the local community and we seek to encourage applications for employment from people with different religions or beliefs.
We are committed to ensuring that there will be no discrimination against any employee, worker or job applicant, either directly or indirectly on grounds of religion or belief, in access to employment, training, working conditions, treatment at work, promotion or dismissal.
The County Council aims to create a working environment based on mutual respect and good relations between people of different religious or cultural beliefs. Respect and support will be given to allow for the practice of religious or cultural observances during the working day.
The County Council has issued an Employee Guide to Religious Beliefs and Practices which is available to all employees. If you want to see a copy of this please contact the recruitment team by email recruitment@wiltshire.gov.uk or telephone 01225 718040.
