STONEHENGE - a pre-historic monument of unique importance, a World Heritage site and an international icon, today’s Stonehenge is the last remnant of a sequence of monuments created between 3000 and 1600 BC.

LONGLEAT – see the lions in the world-famous safari park, get lost in the world’s biggest maze and enjoy the lakes and parkland around one of the finest Elizabethan houses in Britain.

STOURHEAD - undoubtedly one of England’s finest gardens: Henry Hoare’s masterly design includes temples, lakes and a grotto.

STEAM - Discover rail history at Swindon's interactive attraction, STEAM- the Museum of the Great Western Railway.

SALISBURY CATHEDRAL – England’s tallest spire sits on top of a truly beautiful cathedral, completed in 1258, and can be seen for miles.

BOWOOD – for adults, a magnificent 18th Century stately home, set in beautiful parkland. For children, an adventure playground, compete with a life size pirate ship and giant slides!

AVEBURY – the stone circles and earthworks make up the largest henge monument in Europe – bigger even than Stonehenge!

MALMESBURY ABBEY – “Fairer than anything in England,” the abbey was one of Saxon England’s biggest buildings.

LACOCK - home to the atmospheric 13th century Abbey and Cloisters, (as featured in the Harrry Potter films). The film connection continues with the first ever negative photo at the Fox Talbot Museum of Photography. You can also enjoy the Victorian Woodland garden, magnificent trees, 18th century summer house and rose garden.

KENNET & AVON CANAL - hire a boat, pack a picnic and explore the waterway that divides the county in two.

CASTLE COMBE RACING CIRCUIT – over 55 years this has become one of the UK’s best circuits, offering Car and Motorcycle Race Meetings, Track Days and Driving Experiences, where you can feel the thrill of driving our race cars around a race circuit.

MCARTHURGLEN DESIGNER OUTLET GREAT WESTERN – the largest undercover outlet centre in Europe, housed in the splendidly restored Great Western Railway works, just off junction 16 off the M4. You’ll find end of season and excess stock at discounts of up to 50% off high street prices in over 100 shops plus a 500-seat food court.

BROKERSWOOD COUNTRY PARK – 80 acres of fun featuring a fishing lake, heritage centre, picnic area, barbeques, two adventure playgrounds and undercover play area for under 6's. A narrow gauge railway runs weekends from Easter - October and throughout school holidays. The park also hosts a series of special events and Our Christmas Shop and Santa Train are a must.

WESTONBIRT ARBORETUM - one of the world’s largest and oldest man-made tree collections, with over 18,000 rare and beautiful trees and shrubs in 600 glorious, easy-to-stroll Cotswold acres. There are bluebells, magnolias and rhododendrons, 100 Champion trees, our famous Japanese maples, workshops and family events including the spectacular Illuminated Trail, the unique Festival of Wood and the much-loved Firework Concert in July. It’s an unforgettable day out, whatever the season.

ROMAN BATHS - around 's only hot spring, the Romans built a magnificent temple and bathing complex, now beautifully preserved and presented at the heart of the World Heritage Site. See the water's source and walk in the Romans’ footsteps.

BATH ABBEY - begun in 1499, this is the last of ’s great medieval churches. The unique West Front shows the dream that inspired the founder to pull down the ruined Norman cathedral and raise the present building. These beautiful buildings are still home, as they have been for over a thousand years, to a thriving commnity of believers.

COTSWOLD WATER PARK & KEYNES COUNTRY PARK - 's largest water park, with 133 lakes hosting water sports (including canoeing, jetski, waterski), angling, camping and caravanning, walking and cycling (including Thames Trail). Keynes Country Park has a new millennium visitor centre, wood sculpture trail, lakeside walks, bike and boat hire.

COTSWOLD WILDLIFE PARK - over 160 acres of peaceful Cotswold countryside, with rhinos, zebras, camels and ostriches in large paddocks and walled gardens full of penguins, tropical birds, meerkats, monkeys and otters. There’s an adventure playground, narrow gauge railway, children’s shop and farmyard and brass rubbing facilities.
