Benefits and Rewards
Our employees work hard to support and deliver services to the people of Wiltshire, so we feel it's only fair that they're well rewarded for their efforts. We have developed a benefits package to help us to attract, motivate and retain the best people. We have a good selection of benefits currently on offer and are always looking for new ways to make our employees feel valued.
Following the formation of Wiltshire Council as a unitary authority negotiations are taking place with the Council's recognised trade unions on an exercise to harmonise five sets of pay and other terms and conditions of employment. It is not certain when the results of this exercise will be known, however the earliest date for implement ion is late 2010. The new terms and conditions will ensure that staff are properly rewarded for the work that they undertake, prevent potential discrimination and ensure that staff are paid fairly for work of equal value . The results of this exercise will affect the pay and conditions of the advertised vacancy in the future. If you join the Council you will receive further information about the harmonisation process
