Sharon - Reablement OT Assistant

Sharon - Reablement OT Assistant

Tell us a little bit about yourself – your work background, your interests…

I am an OT Assistant in the new Reablement Team, which is a new role for myself, I was previously a Customer Co-ordinator in NEW Adult Care, a job which I had held for 10 years, following a background in admin.  I have always enjoyed the OT side of the CC role, therefore was thrilled to secure a position as an OT Assistant during Transformation.

I have 2 adult children, one still lives at home and is doing A’levels and my husband has his own business.   We took up paddle boarding for the first time this year and have enjoyed weekends at Poole over the glorious summer we have had.  I also enjoy Yoga 2 x week, although I’m not very good at it, but I feel it is good for me, giving me the opportunity to ‘be still’ and ‘empty my mind’.   I also enjoy badminton, walking and swimming and we enjoy meals out and holidays abroad as often as we can afford them.
